The Power of Traditional Martial Arts

The Power of Traditional Martial Arts is Proven…

No one has the power to stop the aging process but you DO have the power to maintain good mental & physical health…

No matter who you are or what your condition may be, if your body is not functioning properly you cannot attain the benefits of proper nutrients, vitamins, food, physical or mental exercise, etc.  It has been proven over the centuries that Traditional Martial Arts (TMA) enables one to have a strong and properly functioning mind and body, which allows you to properly absorb all of the positive things you are putting into to the body and eliminate all of the waste that should be removed from your body.  This is the key to health.

The Key to Anti-Aging & An Increased Quality of Life

The human body has approximately 100 trillion cells (1014) and each type of cell has a lifespan.  It is understood that at the approximate age of 30, the body begins to deteriorate because the cell lifespan begins to decline.

TMA & Traditional Oriental Medicine (TOM) affirm that having increased chi and circulation, as well as free flow of chi and blood throughout the body’s channels/meridians leads one to attain optimal health and slows down the aging process.  The increased supply and movement of chi and blood allows the body to absorb and eliminate properly; this in turn makes the body function at an optimal level, thereby leading to increased cell renewal, which is the key to anti-aging.  Ultimately, blockages lead to decreased function, which in turn leads to aging, decreased activity level, stress and decreased quality of life.

The Wisdom of Your Body

If you allow your mind and body the proper environment to function optimally, it is the most wise entity to give instruction as to how everything is processed, absorbed and eliminated.  There is not a person, even in the highest profession, who can compete with the wisdom of your own body. This is the very reason that TMA practitioners have been know to hold the key to longevity throughout the centuries…they are the masters of understanding and respecting the body; by allowing, supporting and encouraging the body to function at its most optimal level through proper movement, your body maintains the power to make sure that everything is working properly.

The Lifelong Quest of Traditional Martial Arts Masters

TMA (Traditional Martial Arts) is not common martial arts, it is Traditional Martial Arts.  Throughout the centuries many masters have dedicated their lives to finding methods to strengthen the condition, which in turn allows the body to function at its optimal level. There are numerous OYD practitioners whose activity levels are way beyond their years. Grandmaster “Iron” Kim started his practice at the age of 7 and clearly his age does not denote his condition.  Chung Sa Bu Jerry started his practice at the age of 20, and at almost 60 his mental and physical health and activity level clearly can be seen as comparable, if not better than most in their 20s. There are also several instances of TMA practitioners in East Asia whose age and activity level can almost seem impossible to most; for example a recent article exemplified the condition of a118 year old bagwa practitioner [WHO…

Why is TMA so powerful and effective?

Common martial arts and physical exercise are not comparable to TMA. In TMA, the entire body – every joint, every muscle and every part of your body is attended to; multiple techniques  balance the entire body.  For example Pal Gae (which means 8 different directions, and translates to working all parts of the body).  Common MA, daily physical activity (ie walking) and common exercise (ie running and weight lifting), practices and teaches selective movement, which strengthens some parts of the body while neglecting others; this imbalanced development will ultimately lead to wear and tear of the body, injury and an overall declining condition.

OYD Traditional Martial Arts Conditioning Programs effectively remove blocked energy and create a clear pathway for chi to flow optimally throughout your body. Each properly balanced movement specifically targets your area of imbalance and balances with your age and condition.

Remember, life is only once.  No one has a spare mind and body.  Do not neglect yourself.
